To mark the opening of LO – The Inverted Glass and the Cane, an exhibition by photographer Nao Tsuda, a talk event and a mini lecture will be held during the exhibition period.

Photographer Nao Tsuda and Teruhiro Yanagihara, will discuss the time and landscapes Tsuda experienced during his journey to Mustang in the Himalayan hinterland, his creative process, and the thought process behind bringing the photographs and installations to life within the Vague Kobe space.

In resonance with the exhibition LO—The Inverted Glass and the Cane by photographer Nao Tsuda, we present a mini lecture exploring the newly published photobook LO (NEUTRAL COLORS). Joined by editor and publisher Naonori Kato, the artist will introduce the photobook’s production process.
Through the process of converting photographic works into lithography and the creation of the handmade Japanese paper used in the special edition, we will explore how Nao Tsuda’s earnest gaze towards landscapes is woven into a single photobook.

写真家・津田直による展覧会「LO−逆さまの杯と杖−」 の開催を記念し、新刊写真集『LO』（NEUTRAL COLORS刊）をめぐり、編集者・出版元である加藤直徳を迎え、作家とともに写真集の制作プロセスを紹介するミニレクチャーを開催します。
写真作品をリソグラフィーへと変換する工程や、特装版に用いられた手漉き和紙の制作を通して、風景と真摯に向き合ってきた津田直のまなざしが、どのように一冊の写真集へと編み込まれているのかを紐解きます。
